In light of news that the grand jury aimed at militant anarchist activities in the northwest United States was initiated on March 2nd, months before the raucous May Day black blocs that took place in the region, another person subpoenaed to testify is now imprisoned for their commitment to silence. In addition to Matt Duran, Katherine Olejnik (AKA KTeeO) was taken into custody yesterday. Notes posted about their appearance were made available by Say Nothing, which noted that the grand jury will not be over until March 14th 2014, meaning that the comrades presently imprisoned could be there for about 18 months.
Unfortunately, Matt Duran has been kept more or less in isolation according to notes from his contempt appearance. Write to KTeeO and Matt! Matt reported receiving an “overwhelming” amount of mail from supporters across the world. Keep it coming!
